A Painting Nears Completion (Day 5)

Details…so many details!

When a painting nears it’s completion things move much more slowly for me.  At this point I find myself fussing over details while reminding myself that too many details in the wrong place can throw everything off.  Mindful of this I move cautiously and find myself spending more time away from the painting than in front of it.

On this particular painting I am aware of areas  in the pillows which could use more attention.  My main focus however is now on Daisy’s face and the little hairs along her muzzle and her tiny eyelashes.  I don’t know if the tiny details make for a greater work of art.  What I do know is that I find this stage of the painting a heck of a lot of fun.

I plan on spending a little more time with Sunshine Among the Stars this weekend.   I’ll post it completed  then it’s off to North Carolina to be auctioned off in the Luck. Powerful Art. Positive Purpose Silent Auction Art Show
