Working on a painting for a fundraiser -Day 2
In between my commission work I am squeezing out a few hours each day to create a painting to be auctioned off at the The Dublin Dog Foundation’s art show entitled “Luck, Powerful Art. Positive Purpose. The show will take place at the Gil Gallery on Aug. 25th in Charlotte, NC. Artists across the nation are contributing original pieces of artwork around the theme of luck and good fortune. Each piece is to be offered for sale in a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds going to provide 10-year Clarke Ringelstein with a specially trained service dog. In my last post I shared with you the first stage of the painting I am creating for this event. Here is day two. I’ve only had a few hours to add to the basic painting. I’ll have more information about the event and the story behind my painting in the days to come.

Love the progress! It was beautiful in the first shot – the detail of the second makes it even better! As Stacianne mentioned on your FB page – if it’s this beautiful on day 2, I can’t imagine what the finished piece will be!!
(Well, yes I can imagine: a magnificent portrayal of Daisy, with detail, lights and shadow that take your breath away!!!

Hi Adele, I’m glad you are here. I’m still tinkering my way through it all and truly having fun along the way. If at any point you need some support feel free to send me a PM. I’m happy to share what I know so far. I agree, the image morphing to the next stage is pretty neat. To date my painting process has always been very intuitive so seeing it progress like this is very helpful for my thinking mind to get a handle on what it is I do. Who knows someday I just might be able to explain it to someone. 🙂
